Excursions are one of the things cruisers look forward to doing. It can be informative, fun and relaxing. The last cruise I took I was looking forward to that. I found an excursion in Mexico that I thought would be interesting and exciting. A chance to get outside, hiking, etc. But then I notice a disclaimer. People 65 and over not allowed! I was in shock and could not believe it. It was my first-time facing Ageism! They just assume that all people 65 and over are not healthy enough to take on the challenge. The ironic of all this was that I was on the cruise teaching exercise classes! So my peer baby boomers and seniors Royal Caribbean dumps all in one camp. We are not strong enough. So I booked my next cruise on Carnival and checked the small print on every excursion. Not one banning people 65 and over.  They do point some risk involve and if you feel you cannot handle it then don’t book it. Thanks, Carnival, for giving us the freedom of choice. Â
